My Wiki Page- NETS 1,2,3,5

This page was created using the CSUSM Web 2.0 Wiki website. A category was selected, which was creativity, and a tool was found where something could be created. I chose the site DecideAlready.com. Here I was able to propose a question, give reasoning, and invite people to participate in order to come up with an answer. The Wiki site allowed me to create a table where you can see questions and answers clearly. There I described the tool I used, explained how it could be used in a classroom, made recommendations, and even showed a snapshot of the project I created using the tool. When complete, students were able to comment on my work or even edit information if need be. When completed, it was uploaded on this blog using Embedit.

Inspiration- NETS 1-5

This document was created using Inspiration. A diagram was created that included a main idea, which are the NETS for Teachers, that also included a hyperlink to the ISTE website. Links from the main idea were added for each of the five NETS. Then links were added from the NETS to two different artifacts that represent those NETS. Clip Art and google images were added as a visual for each of the NETS as well as the artifacts. Then the descriptions of each of the NETS were added as well. When complete it was uploaded to this blog using Embedit.

Crossword Puzzlefor Physical Ecucation- NETS 1,2,3

This crossword was created using Excel. A tutorial was followed, which was on the Atomic Learning website, and the crossword was created step by step. Cells were formatted to .35 for both the columns and rows. Then words were entered and links to the clues were also created by clicking on the first letter of each word. The first letter of each word was also formatted so it would turn green when correct and red when incorrect. The clues were typed a second time on a second spread sheet. The outline of the puzzle was added and the empty boxes were colored blue. The letters in each word were also made bold so they would stand out. When complete it was uploaded to this blog using Embedit.

Journal 7: Mapping-NETS 1,2,3,5

Mapping is a way to learn geography, places, locations, and even people. Interactive maps are often used in a classroom to teach students through means of visual stimulation. The use of maps can also be helpful when teaching student to get from one place to another. Interactive maps are a great way to get students to work together in a single classroom or even with another classroom on the opposite side of the country.

New Labeled Image Activity on StudyShack
This article is about a new mapping tool that is available for teachers. It allows images to be uploaded and then labeled. Once labeled, the images are turned into targets that can be used to teach and test students on their knowledge of the map, images, and the labels. Time and accuracy is recorded as well. This is a great interactive tool to learn geography, or about people and places!

Post Card Exchange Project
Colette Cassinelli has started a Post Card Exchange Project, where her Catholic School student started this in Beaverton, Oregon. This is a way to get people involved all over the country to upload and share post cards that are hand made or pictures (without copyright issues) with one another. It is a way to learn about the counrty through the eyes of other students and what they have access to. The images are uploaded to a map, which is interactive. This is a great tool, and project, that any student of any age is able to participate in. It is Awesome!

NETS Power Point-NETS 1,2,5

Presentation created using Power Point. A title page was created with 4 slides that represent activities that could be used in a classroom that meet the state standards. There are special effects that were used to bring in the information separately on each slide, as well as between slides. Text boxes and clip are were also added to each slide.

NETS PowerPoint Rubric-NETS 1,2,3

This rubric was created using the rCampus website. It was started by using a template, then the specific information was entered into each box. It was then saved into my personal account, so when printed it would show my name. When complete, it was uploaded to this blog using Embedit.
